Founded and roasted in Chicago, NERDA exists to bring Mexican specialty coffee closer to a city of curious and diverse coffee drinkers.

Mexican coffee is evolving. After a decade marked by challenges, including the devastating impact of coffee leaf rust, producers across the country continue to move Mexican specialty coffee forward through resilience, knowledge and exceptional care.

From celebrated regions to emerging coffee landscapes, Mexico offers far more than one coffee story. Its coffees reflect distinct places, varieties and processing traditions. At NERDA, we want to make that diversity approachable through expressive flavors, thoughtful sourcing and storytelling.

NERDA is built with intention. We choose our partners with care, from the importers who connect us with coffee-producing communities to the people who help bring each release to life. We work with limited, seasonal offerings and pay for quality. We roast locally, work with artists to shape our visual world, use 100% compostable packaging sourced close to home, and build relationships, because better coffee is never created by one person alone.
